Liberty Nickels, or also known as "V" nickels were officially made from 1883 through 1912.  I say "Officially" because the most famous Liberty Nickels are the 1913 Liberty Nickels.  There are only 5 of these known to exist.

This nickel gets its name from the image of Liberty on the front and/or "V" nickel because of the large "V" on the reverse.  Many of these nickels are very worn and carry little premium.  Still, if you have some, they are certainly worth more than face value.  Contact us to help sell your collection.
