Walking Liberty Half Dollars
Walking Liberty Half Dollars began production in 1916 to replace the
Barber Half Dollar. The Walking Liberty Half is often
thought of as one of the most beautiful US coins ever.
It's design is currently on the America Silver Eagles.
Walking Liberty Halves dated in the teens and twenties were
heavily used and often worn as shown in the example below
Coins of later dates tend to be in better shape. The
coin below may be typical of coins dated in the 1930's and
1940's
The coin below is an example of an uncirculated coin
and are worth much more than circulated examples.
